Sooo goodthese days, i often get lunch in here.. foods are really good, but only cash is a little uncomforted
One of my go to places for some inexpensive cantonese cafe food. I have been coming to this location (and others owned by the same owners) for numerous years now. The service is okay, the food is good, though once in awhile it can be a hit or miss, and the staff are generally very happy and smiley when treating you. My go to is the baked pork chop on rice, nothing fancy (such as Gloucester cafe) but the sauce is yummy, pork chops are nice and juicy. Or I get the grilled chicken on rice (very generous portions).
Great food, great price. Nice little place that offers a good dining experience. Breakfast is really good.
Food was your average Hong Kong cafe...tasty but not fantastic. The decor was simple and dated. Very generous portions. Excellent value if you are a big eater.
the service is not fast. some foods are awsome but most are not so good. they also have huge portion, bit the pork stick is perticularly disappointing.
Good menu, good staff but needs a renovation! Is never too late!
Don’t come if you’re looking for authentic hong kong food. The worse noodle I’ve ever had.
Absolutely love the food and very fair pricing. Parking is free at the back parking lot after 6pm.
Awesome curry lamb rice. So-so on the milk tea
Decent cheap and fast breakfast menu. It can be busy in the morning especially weekends. Their signature to me would be red curry seafood with rice. Not only seafood inside, you will find fried string bean, egg plant, and a touch of grape tomato, not to mention other seafood like fish, shrimp, mussle, small octopus. I'd it's not the curry dish they offer I would rate this as three stars only. Unfortunately it's cash only but lots parking near by.
Do enjoy their mini set afternoon meals and breakfast combos.
Good price good food. Interior decoration social. Overall well worth.
Food and price are great Their portion is very big. Their owner and staffs are friendly.
Cheap, tasty, filling, fast service and nice waitresses. What's not to love?
My go to place for HK Style food in East Vancouver. Food quality seems slightly better than others in the area and lots of options to choose from. Easily find parking at the back. Their Mix and Match sizzling plate, although a little more expensive than other areas, also includes a mouth watering baked potato!
We always go here, waiters ate great, food is delicious
Generous portions and convenient parking lot located in the back.
Authentic Hong Kong cafe style food
The food here is pretty good for Hong Kong Style Cafe. Usually get the baked chicken and shrimp in tomato and cream sauce. And the hot plate which basically comes with a 3 course meal and is always delicious! The dessert at the end is a bonus and something that I always look forward too! Today we also got the tiramisu cake which isn't that great. But the food is probably on the better side!
Food is a hit or a miss every time we come here, often it is well cooked. Portions are huge, which is a blessing. The young female server everyone keeps mentioning clearly hates her job. She doesn’t care, never smiles, glares at you, and holds off on your food if you ask her to change things or cancel an order. She’ll purposely forget the drink you ordered too. Truly disappointing to see her act like this. What’s her relationship to the restaurant and how did she get the job? We all wonder... Mind blowing. If the restaurant wonders why a table doesn’t tip, take a closer look at who was serving them.
Food quality is decent. Nothing is outstanding really.
Poor service, food quality has gone down and prices have gone up. Apparently half of the items listed in the Sandwiches section of the menu do not come with the fries that are promised in that section, which is misleading -- not sure why those items are in that section.
Good food at very reasonable price.
Quick place for HK style cafe food. Good for takeout and eat in.
Okay. Had wonton noodle soup, which had rather plain broth. Wontons tasty, mostly pork with small pieces shrimp. Like the banquette seating.
I am not sure they have changed the chef. My friend and I ordered two different dishes and both of them are not tasty. The service was still professional and friendly but the food was bad.
Great place for Hong Kong style dishes
Awesome place. Friendly staff and tasty food.Highly recommended.
I think this is one of the most reliable restaurants in south Van. No they're not going blow you away with their breakfast, but nor will they destroy your wallet! Let's face it, for their price point they do a great job in the morning. PS. I've also been here for lunch and dinner, their Hong Kong cafe style dishes are generally well done and cater well to Chinese tastes.
Came in for a quick bite. Decent food, Thai chicken fried rice was good included a drink. Service was fairly quick. This place has been around for a long time.
Authentic Hong Kong 🇭🇰 Comfort food! With experience. The portion is way too good for the price and it's a good thing. Also the varieties is so broad, it makes no difference between Angel Cafe and any restaurants in Hong Kong. I grew up in Hong Kong eating the same types of food for 12 years! I know what's good and what's not good on the menu. The staff makes it a remarkable experience, just like the good old daysThis is something worth trying and it's not all the same in Vancouver. With the amazing prices, great quality AND quantity, I assure you that fun is to be have here. Whether you are a true and tried hongkonger or a hungry dude looking for food to crave on, this is the way to be.5 - 15 Minutes: Waiting30 - 90 Minutes: DiningHighlights: Bubble Tea, Pastries and desserts ,different varieties of food and cuisines.
Good place for a quick lunch. Food is decent, staff are friendly. They only take cash.
Reasonably priced food and a great variety to choose from. Ample free public parking at the back
Good value, clean environment, good service
A busy spot for locals, especially around noon. The quality of the food here has been very consistent for years. Lunch/dinner menu is a bit expensive, but if you go during afternoon tea time (2pm - 5pm?) or after dinner hours (9pm - ), you get a variety of combos each within $10. Gorgeous portions and taste pretty good. Do not recommend baked items, though. Also there is always plentiful free parking on Fraser St, which is assuring to people like me who don't want to waste time wandering around to park.
Food is acceptable but pticed a little bit higher than the same level restaurants 😫😫
Well I'm giving them the benefit of the extra star. I have been here before and food is okay. But this time I tried the stone pot. It was very oily due to the pork belly and they douse the rice with with oil too. I couldn't finish it because I suddenly felt very full. Walking out I got very sick and I didn't make it around the block. It was too much oil and my stomach couldn't take it. Order from the menu and skip the stone pot.
Really good hk style food with great variety of items and drinks.
Food. Ok. Service was good. Nice to have Chinese friends to order.
Bad Services, over priced. When server takes wrong orders. Manager blames customers. Restaurant was very busy, when first opened. Now they never be that busy again, along with not many regulars also and I can see why.
Keep in mind...New Menu! New Up charge!!! . And ask for lunch menu. Or they will scam you on there regular menu. They refuse giving lunch menu till 1130... but push you get there more expensive menu. The worst part I am regular customer, They forget who they can't scam. 🤣🤣🤣
Hong Kong style cafe with paid street parking, food is decent and served quickly. Staff can be friendly. Prices are reasonable. Large selection
very very nice place , great food & they’ve become super clean regarding covid 19 circumstances
Large portions great value.
This is one of my favourite places to eat and I eat there probably at minimum twice a week. The staff there are wonderful, but especially the main gentleman who seems to either own or manage the place. I have not tried their Western Foods admittedly, but I have never had a meal there that I've been disappointed by. Specific meals that I wholeheartedly vouch for are they sweet and sour chicken / pork as well as their Japanese style rice Stone dishes (Eel being my favorite). They are cash only but the food and service are both well worth it.Due to some covid-19 restrictions being lifted they now offer limited dine-in as well, so during covid-19 their takeout is just as excellent. Go enjoy the good food and tell them the Blondie sent you!
Gets pretty busy at lunch time and I have to ask mutiple times for my bill.
This hk style cafe eatery has been a longstanding part of this community for years. The food is a reliable decent quality and the portioning is usually generous. The service is usually pretty good too. Their pick 2/3/4 item combo is a lot of food and sure to fill you up. I also like their hot stone bowl rice as well as their thai fried rice.
Great prices solid eats
I like the attitude of the staff in general. Very friendly and accommodating
Every time visiting Vancouver gotta come in for awesome foooood
